Is UChicago a party school?
The U of C is really not an Anti-Party school. In fact, it embraces parties in all its party-forms, and we have many of the same party issues “party schools” do: Heaven and Hell (scroll down), trouble, and even questionable taste.

One of the great benefits of attending Law School at the University of Chicago is the opportunity to study whatever your heart desires. The Law School allows students to pursue dual/joint degrees at the Booth School of Business, Harris School of Public Policy, and the School of Social Science Administration.

Why is University of Chicago ranked so high?
UChicago is higher ranked than Stanford (US News) because UChicago is better at generating the right stats for the methodology. Many people drop out of Stanford to pursue their business ideas or do other things. Meanwhile, UChicago is known for sending a lot of people to grad school.
Are there parties at UChicago?
There are parties in dorms, student organizations throw parties in apartments, and there is generally one big frat party on each of Friday and Saturday night. Students take pride in their hard work and academic rigor. The long winters and lack of sun in Chicago can certainly be a drain.
Does University of Chicago have Greek life?
Greek life enjoys a large and growing presence at UChicago. There are more than 20 Greek organizations currently operating on campus, including four sororities within the UChicago Panhellenic Council. Most fraternities have houses off-campus; unusually, none of UChicago’s sororities has a house.
