Are there yurts at the Pinery?

The Pinery Provincial Park yurts have electric heat, lighting, tables, and bunk bed sleeping that fit up to 6 people. There’s a deck outside of each yurt with a picnic table for outdoor dining, along with a gas barbecue for cooking. Each yurt comes with its own parking space and a small fire pit for bonfires.

Are showers open at Pinery Provincial Park?

When visiting the Woodlot or park store, please only send one member of your party and adhere to physical distancing signage. The Visitor Centre and Friends of Pinery Park Store remain closed at this time. 🌳 Showers facilities will be open at a reduced capacity this season.

Traditionally yurts have a collapsible wooden frame covered with wool felt and a door frame from which you can hang a wooden door. Many flexible wooden poles made from birch, willow, poplar, or bamboo are woven and bound together to form lattice walls.

Can you rent canoes at Pinery Provincial Park?

Pinery has many different ways to explore the Old Ausable Channel. Rent one of the many canoes, Corcls, stand-up paddleboards, single or double kayaks. Ski and snowshoe rentals are available on weekends when the trails are operating, with the last rental of the day being prior to 3:00 pm.
